Still trying to catch the blog up after the Bahamas so think it must be my time to post something. Alright lets start from the morning of 16/5 and Stace arrived back with the rental car all excited to head out the outlet store. After raiding the safe for some cash and grabbing the CREDIT CARD (more on this later) we headed off to shop for a few hours before heading to the Kennedy Space Center. Went straight to the food court for the first of our two meals for the day and thought we would try and be a little healthy and have Subway. Stace steps up to the counter and orders a double cheese meatball sub not sure if that is a part of their healthy option range.
Not to keen on shopping but they did have an Adidas, Nike and Diesel stores so we separated into boys and girls and went to spend some cash. After meandering around a couple of stores I all of a sudden here this frantic Steve Steve coming from Stace. Even at an outlet mall she can still find me!! She starts going on about the credit card was rejected and that I need to ring the bank because they have put a stop on it and these days it isn't the easiest thing to try and find a payphone. Walking around we finally found one and then the next mission of trying to contact the bank in Australia. Another roadblock. Weren't to keen but decided we should use an internet kiosk to see if we had any unknown charges or emails from the bank nothing dubious. Decided we would have to sort it out once we get back to the hotel and now worst of all Jackson and I had to join the girls team getting dragged into every clothes store known to man. The only good news is whilst we were sitting down on one of the few seats available Stace comes back and lets us know that the credit card is now working and sales assistant must have done something wrong. My first question "Did you ask her to try again at the time" that would be a no. Crisis averted and I think it is time to leave and enter Kennedy Space Center into the GPS. To infinity and beyond.
Unfortunately it wasn't that quick as we soon realised it would take two and a half hours (probably should have researched that) which wasn't the end of the world as we got to see some of the Florida countryside and so many many fast food stores. Managed to arrive safely with everyone super excited to see the launch of a satellite or as Stace called it a missile launch which got a nervous look from the concierge. The Space Center started of a bit slow with some strange attractions such as Angry Birds and a Robot scouts thing which were obviously designed for young kids we were like WTF!! Finally found a semi decent exhibition talking about Mars and then went to the IMAX to watch a movie on space exploration. Put our 3-D glasses on and holy shit mind absolutely blown as they explained Earth's place in the universe with pictures from the Hubble Telescope. Really enjoyed it but walked out feeling very insignificant. Next was the launch and it is pretty cool to say that you have witnessed a rocket launch and the noise was unbelievable considering how far away it was as it's speed increased. Would love to know somebody who worked their and been closer to the launch site but it is what it is.
Stopped in at Denny's for dinner and ordered up big for our second meal of the day and then drove back to our room at Coranado Springs. Still haven't officially made it to Disneyworld yet. Four parks in two days coming up. M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.
